Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated Assembler Tester to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
* Work as part of the Pumps Assembly team to produce and assemble high quality peristaltic pump drives and heads, with safety at the forefront.
* Manufacture and assemble WMFTS products in compliance with official documentation such as BOMs, GA drawings, wiring diagrams, assembly procedures and test specifications.
* Select relevant components for main assembly and sub-assemblies using the internal stock control process.
* Follow and adhere to rigid work instructions, ensuring all test procedures and results are recorded in line with departmental procedures.
* Champion quality and adopt the right first time principle. Report and record any quality issues.
* Ensure Kanban signals are actioned as part of the material replenishment system.
* Prioritise daily workload in Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP to satisfy all dated orders and meet customer demand.
* Prioritise workload to align sub-assembly stock replenishment with the Kanban system.
* Be a flexible member of the Assembly team, relocating to various product cells as required.
* Assist with training for new and existing products when required.
* Self-manage online training and IT-related production tasks.
* Maintain a tidy, clean, and safe working environment; champion health, safety, and wellbeing.
* Be willing to adapt to shift-based rotations as business demand dictates.
* Provide support for end-of-line and other production activities.
* Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives across the pumps value stream, collaborating with Team Leaders to develop and implement ideas.
* Assist with process validation of new equipment and support 5S activities across the Pumps value stream.
* Support process improvement investigations including Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions.
Skills/Experience
* Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment.
* Medical device manufacturing background advantageous.
* Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
* Experience with 5S processes.
* Attention to detail and willingness to utilise resources to drive process improvement.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing customer demands.
