Hawkstone Hall & Gardens is a magnificent grade 1 listed, newly refurbished hotel and events venue located in the rolling hills of Shropshire. Offering the perfect combination of English heritage and modern luxury, with natural beauty and charm. The 18th-century mansion houses 37 bedrooms, The Saloon Restaurant and 4 event spaces for 20-200 guests. Our newest addition, The Gym is available to staff for personal training and is equipped with Peleton bikes.
We are currently looking for the right candidate to fill the position of Hotel Receptionist. The role will primarily serve as a key point of contact for our Guests throughout their stay or visit to Hawkstone.
The ideal candidate will be confident, courteous and professional, they will provide an efficient and flexible service at all times. They will be personable, with an emphasis on creating memorable and unique experiences for our guests.
Roles and Responsibilities include;
* Be a first point of contact to welcome and greet guests on arrival.
* To conduct a personal check in service to all guests including our Brides & Grooms including any wedding items delivered.
* Check ins and check outs via HOP software.
* Answer and direct incoming telephone calls, handle enquiries where appropriate.
* Make and confirm external reservations for guests.
* Maintain clear and accurate records of guest room bookings and post additional charges via HOP software.
* Listen, respond and action guest queries and requests both in-person and by telephone.
* To answer any email enquiries in a timely manner.
* To monitor our Website enquiries.
* To communicate with the Spa therapist regarding Spa Treatment reservations.
* Provide accurate information about internal products and services, local attractions and the local area including travel information.
* Liaise with necessary staff including housekeeping and maintenance to address any problems they may arise.
* To ensure rooms have dining allocations paying particular attention to dietary requirements.
* Complete and maintain any reports requested by management.
* Monitor visitors to the hotel using our intercom system to maintain security of the building.
* In the event of a fire to act as the Fire Marshall and conduct an evacuation.
* Maintain a neat and orderly front desk and reception area.
* To assist any other department as and when necessary.
* Any other reasonable request to ensure we not only meet but exceed our guests expectations.
* There is a potential immediate start for the correct candidates.
* Help manage and promote our in house nail and treatment rooms in association with Aromatherapy Associates.
Experience Required
1+ years in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Due to our location you will need to provide your own transport, however onsite live in accommodation will be available to the suitable candidate.
