The role
In the classroom, the successful candidate will:

Create a calm, joyful and purposeful learning environment built on strong relationships
*
Deliver clear explanations and modelling, with frequent opportunities for practice and feedback
*
Use assessment intelligently to identify gaps, intervene early and secure progress for all learners
*
Plan backwards from ambitious outcomes, ensuring lessons meet the needs of every pupil
*
Set meaningful homework in line with whole-school policy
*
Act as a form tutor, building trusting relationships with pupils and families that uphold high standards
Beyond the classroom, the role includes:

Supporting all pupils—particularly the most vulnerable—to make excellent progress

Contributing to enrichment, trips and extra-curricular activities

Working collaboratively with colleagues to strengthen teaching practice and pupil outcomes
