Employee testimonials
• I completed my second student placement in the Family Support and Safeguarding Team and I knew from that point that it was where I wanted to work. These teams are hardworking, supportive and absolutely dedicated to keeping children safe….I couldn’t imagine doing any other job – Social Worker recently promoted to Team Manager.
• Starting out as a Newly Qualified Social Worker at Nottinghamshire County Council, I’ve felt supported right from the beginning. The ASYE programme gave me structured training, protected time to learn, and a mentor who helped me find my way through that first year. The support I received went beyond the ASYE programme. I’ve had daily encouragement from senior leaders and my colleagues, which has made a real difference. We’re lucky to have a diverse team, including managers, Social Work Practice Consultants, Advanced Practitioners, Social Workers, and Family Support Workers. It’s a really exciting time to be part of Nottinghamshire, with national changes and the merging of teams bringing knowledge and experience that will benefit us as a team but also the children and families we support.
