The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join a well:established and Lexcel accredited firm as part of its national care team. The role will involve managing a varied caseload of public law children matters including care proceedings, interim care orders, emergency protection orders, special guardianship orders, adoption matters and private children law issues. You will be responsible for progressing your own caseload with confidence and autonomy, managing files from instruction through to conclusion. Strong advocacy experience is essential, as you will be regularly attending court and representing clients in sensitive and often complex proceedings. This is a full:time position within a friendly and supportive team environment, offering flexibility and hybrid working.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be a Children Panel accredited Solicitor with at least three to five years'> post:qualification experience in childcare matters. You must be confident managing your own caseload and able to hit the ground running. Strong advocacy skills, excellent IT proficiency and the ability to work effectively in a paperless environment are essential. You will demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a professional, client:focused approach when working with vulnerable clients.
