We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Farm Sales Co-ordinator to join our dynamic team at our AYR Country Store. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about serving and supporting the Rural and Agricultural industry and who wants to assist with the day to day running of the country store alongside an established team, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and standards are achieved as well as actively promoting and driving sales.

THE JOB

* To act as the primary in-store contact for farmers, providing expert support and guidance.
* To manage stock ordering to ensure timely availability of essential agricultural products.
* To use up to date price lists and margin targets to competitively price products for high-volume users
* To lead and coordinate seasonal and product-specific campaigns, including:

Ewe feed, Megastart, Pre-lambing drench & Heptavac

Lambing essentials (milk replacer, colostrum)

Spring fertiliser and Ecosyl early offers

Cattle turnout solutions (bolus/LA injection)

Feed products for lambs, calves, and Superselco

Crop packaging

Pre-tupping mineral supplements and Crystalyx EDR

* To prescribe and supply authorised veterinary medicines (POM-VPS and NFA-VPS) in accordance with VMD regulations.
* To provide informed advice on parasite control, nutrition, and animal health tailored to species and farming systems.
* To maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, product safety, and responsible use of medicines.
* To ensure accurate record-keeping of all medicine sales and prescriptions.
* To participate in CPD (Continuing Professional Development) to maintain SQP status and competence.
* To promote responsible use of veterinary medicines and support farmers in developing herd/flock health plans.
* To support and contribute to the effective operation of the business as a member of the branch team, including ensuring adequate levels of all stocked products are maintained in conjunction with the Branch Manager/Branch Supervisor.
* To actively promote and drive the sales of all products, with the aim of maximising profitability, through the branch and via telecommunications to customers.
* To deliver excellent customer service to customers (both internal and external) by understanding customer's needs, providing recommendations with integrity and delivering first rate solutions.
* To assist the branch in ensuring that daily routine tasks are completed whilst adopting flexibility to ensure other duties, such as warehouse or delivery tasks are completed in a timely manner and to the required standard.
* To take a lead role in ensuring the success of the company by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable margin target achievement.
* To support the Branch in promoting the company brand and working to recognised business standards.
* To adhere to Company and Group policies and procedures, including but not limited to those relating to Safety, Health and Environmental.
* To ensure all relevant legislation and approved codes of practice, are adhered to in respect of ongoing compliance, including but not limited to UFAS, FIAS, & NOPS assurance schemes.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES REQUIRED

Essential

* Holds a full UK driving licence (essential).
* Excellent customer service skills, with an appreciation for our customer base.
* Has an organised approach to work and able to work using own initiative.
* Be a practical problem solver.
* Adopts a flexible approach to work and willing to take on additional responsibilities.
* AMTRA (FARM) qualification essential, but training can be given to achieve this.
