MET Technician / Strip & Fitter – Accident Repair Centre
1. Location: Ludlow
2. Pay: Up to £17.50 per hour (DOE & qualifications) + Time Save Bonus
3. Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday (no weekends)
4. Working Pattern: Typically 8:30am–5:00pm (flexible start/finish — early shifts available)
5. Holiday: 20 days + bank holidays
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced MET Technician / Strip & Fitter to join a busy and growing accident repair operation in the Ludlow area.
This is a great opportunity for either an established MET Technician or a strong Workshop Technician looking to transition into the bodyshop environment.
The business has exciting growth plans, including the addition of an MOT and service centre later this year, offering excellent long-term prospects.
Key Responsibilities:
6. Carry out mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) work on damaged vehicles
7. Strip and refit vehicle components to manufacturer standards
8. Conduct wheel alignment and “super fitter” duties where required
9. Identify additional repair requirements during strip-down
10. Ensure all work is completed safely and to high quality standards
11. Work efficiently to meet productivity targets
12. Collaborate with bodyshop and workshop teams
Requirements of this MET Technician role:
13. Previous experience as an MET Technician, Strip & Fitter, or strong Vehicle Technician background.
14. Relevant qualifications preferred (ATA advantageous but not essential)
15. Good mechanical and diagnostic skills
16. Ability to work independently and within a team
17. Strong attention to detail and quality focus
18. Full UK driving licence
