A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PART TIME FINANCE ASSISTANT AT OUR HOTEL What you'll be doing Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepare and review daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, identifying and resolving discrepancies in accounting records. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and strategic business plans. Maintain and enhance internal control systems to safeguard hotel assets and ensure adherence to company financial policies. Oversee general ledger accounts, bank reconciliations, and monthly balance sheet reviews. Coordinate and support both internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely submission of required documentation. Support key financial operations, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management. Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights, encourage cost-saving initiatives, and improve operational efficiency. Supervise, mentor, and train junior finance staff to ensure high performance and professional development.
