Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and adaptable Part Time Cook / Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen operations, primarily to cover our full-time colleague's days off. Additional hours will be available during holiday periods. You will be helping to prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold dishes, bake, and cook off products for the counter, and keep the kitchen running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare breakfast rolls (bacon, sausage, etc.) and lunch menu items.
* Cook off pies and other savoury goods for sale.
* Prepare and bake scones, quiches, and soups following established recipes.
* Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in line with regulations.
* Assist with stock rotation, storage, and kitchen organisation.
* Work efficiently to meet demand during busy periods.
* Provide flexible cover as required, as working days may vary from week to week.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a café, kitchen, or food production environment.
* Good understanding of basic food hygiene and kitchen safety.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Positive attitude, good work ethic, and willingness to learn.
* Flexibility to work varying days each week.
