Reporting Analyst
The role reports to the Head of BI, and will work closely with them and other members of the team to produce high quality reporting and data extracts, using Google Big Query, Looker Studio and Looker, along with the Google Suite of software.
The role will mostly involve remote working, but there will be a requirement to be in the Magna Park office 3-4 times a month.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Use SQL combined with the appropriate visualisation tool to deliver reporting to the wider business e.g. KPIs, reports, dashboards, scorecards, visualisations and other analytics
2. Work alongside the Head of BI to understand the reporting requirements of the Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, and Sales teams
3. Design high-quality output that can be deployed across multiple business departments
4. Influence internal and external stakeholders to design and adopt processes that elevate data integrity and facilitate self-help analytics and proper data governance.
5. Build systems/processes to transform raw data into commercially relevant outputs that enable the business to create actionable insights
6. Understand the underlying data and assess its quality and usability for any particular visualisation
7. Improve and enhance existing reporting and analysis
8. Assess data integrity of reporting and within other analytical products, and work with appropriate departments to diagnose and resolve problems
9. Monitor existing ETL processes to ensure continuity in reporting across various business departments
What you’ll need to have/be:
10. 2+ years experience using SQL. Comfortable writing complex statements and scripts. Experience of Google Big Query is a plus.
11. 1+ years of experience building reports and dashboards.
12. Experience of creating reports and dashboards using a visualisation tool e.g. Tableau, Looker, Data Studio, Power BI etc.
13. Ability to design and develop reports and dashboards using a variety of tools
14. Strong problem solving and logical thinking skills
15. Advanced Excel/Google Sheets
16. Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
17. Problem solving aptitude, attention to detail and strong organisational capability
18. Ability to function in a fast paced, innovative organisation
