We’re hiring on behalf of a respectable client who is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their expanding operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in joinery and project management to oversee a diverse range of projects from £50k up to £5 million. You’ll take full ownership from tender stage through to completion, ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time, and to budget.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and site managers
2. Manage project delivery from tender to final handover
3. Monitor and ensure health and safety compliance, including preparing documentation and site visits
4. Handle project budgets, procurement, and commercial tasks including valuations and cost reports
5. Oversee joinery-specific technical requirements and ensure high quality workmanship
6. Support estimating and commercial teams with costings and final accounts
7. Manage and delegate to installation teams and subcontractors
8. Resolve project disputes and provide accurate documentation when required
9. Ensure CDM responsibilities are met throughout the construction phase
Requirements:
10. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a
Contracts Manager
role within a
joinery environment
11. Strong background in project, commercial, and procurement management
12. Sound understanding of construction health and safety regulations
13. Excellent organisational and communication skills
14. Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
15. Confident decision-maker with attention to detail and a proactive mindset
