The Opportunity
We're looking for a full-time Marketing & Events Assistant to join our growing Exeter team. This is a broad, hands-on role supporting a range of functions across the business—including marketing, events, client engagement, and business operations. You'll work across multiple teams and projects, contributing where needed to help deliver our global portfolio of executive-level technology events.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced, commercial environment and eager to contribute to a variety of activities that drive business outcomes.
Working Model: The first 3–6 months of this role will be full-time in our Exeter city centre office, after which it shifts to a hybrid model with 3 days in-office and 2 from home.
What You'll Be Doing
* Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary depending on business needs, but may include:
* Marketing Support: Assisting with email campaigns, automation, content distribution, and basic analytics.
* Event Logistics: Venue research, supplier liaison, and materials preparation.
* Client Engagement: Interacting with senior technology executives via email, phone, and digital platforms.
* Project Management: Maintaining up-to-date timelines and internal systems.
* Onsite Delivery: Attending live events (locally, in London, and occasionally internationally) to support guest hosting and execution.
* Team Collaboration: Contributing to a proactive culture and jumping into internal projects as needed.
Key Requirements of the Role:
* Travel: Frequent travel to London and occasional international travel to support event delivery.
* Flexibility: Occasional early starts and late finishes during event periods (no weekend work required).
* Global Connection: Working with a distributed team across the UK, Singapore, and Australia.
About You
This is an entry-level position, so prior experience isn't essential. We are looking for someone who is:
* Degree-qualified in marketing, communications, events, or a related field (required).
* Highly organised, reliable, and eager to learn.
* A confident communicator with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
* Interested in technology, events, or business strategy.
* A team player who is happy to "muck in" and help different teams when things get busy.
