About the Role
A leading national law firm is seeking a talented Employment Associate to join its established Norwich-based team. The firm is recognised for high-quality client service, a collaborative working culture and a diverse client base spanning commercial organisations, public bodies, healthcare providers, and education institutions. Role Overview
You will handle a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, supporting clients with day-to-day HR issues as well as strategic and high-value projects. The role provides the opportunity to work closely with senior lawyers, develop specialist expertise and take on increasing responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
* Advising on a full range of employment law issues, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, discrimination, redundancy, whistleblowing, contractual matters and TUPE.
* Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, service agreements, policies and associated HR documentation.
* Managing Employment Tribunal claims from start to finish, including drafting pleadings, witness statements and assisting with advocacy where appropriate.
* Supporting corporate transactions through due diligence, advising on employment aspects and handling TUPE processes.
* Delivering training sessions and workshops to clients on employment law developments and best practice.
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives.
* Supervising and mentoring junior colleagues and trainees where required.
Skills & Experience
* Qualified solicitor (typically NQ–4 PQE) with demonstrable experience in employment law.
* Strong understanding of UK employment legislation and case law.
* Experience advising on both contentious and advisory matters.
* Excellent drafting, communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to manage a varied caseload, prioritise effectively and work to deadlines.
* Commercial awareness and a client-focused mindset.
