We are recruiting for a Senior Technical Operative to join our Pride in ELDC Coastal Access team, based at our Mablethorpe depot.
Our team is responsible for carrying out sand clearance operations along the coastline of the East Lindsey District, ensuring the foreshores are clean and tidy for residents and visitors. You will be joining a dedicated team that operates in all weather conditions throughout the year.
You will oversee the Pride in East Lindsey Technical Operative, ensuring smooth daily operations. This includes managing HR tasks such as staff rotas and supporting workforce planning. You will also ensure staff are trained appropriately in health and safety and safe working practices.
Typical duties
1. Carry out sand clearance operations along the coastline of the East Lindsey District, liaising with local authorities, partners, and agencies.
2. Operate sand clearance plant and machinery.
3. Ensure a safe working environment and be responsible for all health and safety aspects of this role.
4. Complete risk assessments for works related to sand clearance, street cleansing, and grounds maintenance as part of the programmed schedule.
What do we need from you?
* Full current & valid Cat B driving licence.
* Excellent team working and advisory skills.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
* Ability to work independently, use initiative, and work under pressure.
* Good record-keeping of vehicle/plant defects and maintenance.
* Ability to analyze information to make informed judgments.
* Previous management experience is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.
