Role Objective
As a Field Service Engineer, you will service and maintain personal safety equipment and fixed gas detection systems, ensuring compliance, reliability, and user confidence across client sites. The position can be based in Yorkshire or Northamptonshire.
Key Responsibilities
* Service and maintain portable gas detectors, SCBA, escape breathing apparatus, and fall arrest and lifting equipment.
* Set up and commission new gas detection systems.
* Build trust-based relationships with clients and identify additional safety equipment needs.
* Ensure customer satisfaction to promote repeat business.
* Complete relevant paperwork and update CRM database.
* Provide data for management reports and support workshop activities as needed.
Candidate Requirements
Experience:
* Minimum 2 years of proven engineering experience as a Field Service Engineer or Static Engineer/Technician, preferably in safety equipment.
* Background in utilities, engineering, or construction sectors is preferred.
* Knowledge of fixed gas detection systems is desirable but not essential.
* Experience in fault-finding and decision-making.
