2nd Line Engineer – Mobile Device Management
Location: Hatfield / Milton Keynes / Nottingham (on-site)
Contract: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Clearance: Security Cleared or willing to undergo vetting
We're looking for an experienced 2nd Line Engineer with strong expertise in mobile device management (MDM) to join a leading IT services provider. This role is focused on supporting a managed service customer, ensuring their mobile estate is secure, compliant, and fully optimised.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 2nd line support for mobile operating systems, escalating complex issues to 3rd line teams where required
* Manage device configuration, policy changes, and post-deployment support
* Work with tools such as Workspace ONE, JAMF, Apple Business Manager, Android Enterprise Manager, Samsung KNOX
* Oversee incident queues, SLA adherence, and coordinate across technical and service teams
* Support the end-to-end mobile lifecycle, ensuring smooth delivery and strong stakeholder communication
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in a 2nd line support role, ideally focused on mobile endpoint management
* Hands-on knowledge of:
o Workspace ONE Unified Endpoint Manager
o Apple Business Manager
o Entra ID & M365
o Android Enterprise Manager
o Samsung KNOX
o iOS and Android device configuration
* Experience with mobile device management in enterprise environments
* Strong problem-solving, coordination, and stakeholder communication skills
