Finance Business Partner
This role plays a key part in supporting services to manage their budgets effectively and make informed financial decisions. You will work closely with your designated service areas, providing financial advice and guidance, supporting annual budget setting and in‑year budget monitoring, and contributing to month‑end and year‑end financial processes, including the production of the Statement of Accounts. You will help managers to understand their team’s financial position, and champion sound financial management and value for money across the organisation.
You must have a sound understanding of general accounting principles, and the ability to interpret financial information and provide clear, practical financial advice. We are looking for someone who is AAT qualified (or equivalent) with demonstrable experience of working in a finance environment. This job is open to candidates with transferable finance experience, and previous local government experience is not an essential requirement.
Remuneration and Benefits
* 36.25 hrs per week with an annual salary of £37,280 - £40,777 (2026 pay award pending)
