Are you ready to lead the logistics behind one of the UK's most ambitious infrastructure projects?
We're looking for a Distribution Resource Manager to take charge of the day-to-day management of all delivery operations into the Sizewell C (SZC) Nuclear site. This is a pivotal role that ensures the seamless coordination of road, rail, and marine transport assets from Heidelberg Materials sites, supporting the delivery of high-quality materials in the most cost-efficient way.
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead and manage all delivery operations into SZC via road, rail, and marine.
* Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to ensure availability of haulage fleet, trains, and ships.
* Work closely with site logistics, operations, and Heidelberg quarries/depots to maintain optimal stockpile levels.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with third-party suppliers, Mendip Rail (MRL), and Freight Operating Companies (FOCs).
* Oversee a team of distribution coordinators managing SAP orders, delivery bookings, and client communications.
* Ensure full compliance with health & safety, quality management systems, and nuclear site regulations.
* Monitor performance against KPIs and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
* Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders and deputise for the Logistics Manager when required.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain management, ideally within large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* Experience with SAP and delivery management systems (DMS/VMS).
* Knowledge of rail and marine logistics is highly desirable.
* A proactive problem-solver with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

* National Transport Manager CPC
