Role Summary We are seeking a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Business Partner to join our Health, Safety & Environment team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. You will take ownership of HSE activity across our Stoke Distribution Centre and Northern sites, acting as a trusted advisor to leaders and teams. This is a hands-on role focused on risk assessments, auditing/inspections, legal compliance, corrective actions and non-conformance management, supporting the effective delivery of our HSE management system and helping embed a strong HSE culture across the business. Location: Stoke-on-Trent with travel to our other locations in the North & Scotland Job Type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract, Full Time, 40 hours per week. Key Responsibilities Partner with site leadership and teams to embed a strong HSE culture and promote safe, compliant working practices. Support the delivery and ongoing improvement of the HSE management system, aligned to business and operational needs. Lead and support completion and review of risk assessments, ensuring actions are captured and progressed. Conduct HSE audits and inspections across Stoke and Northern sites, track findings and drive closure of actions. Own and manage legal and compliance activities, including corrective actions and non-conformance logs. Support incident reporting and investigations, using Root Cause Analysis where appropriate and supporting trend analysis. Coach and advise leaders and team members, helping raise capability through guidance and HSE training support. Contribute to maintaining and improving compliance with relevant standards (including ISO 45001 / ISO 14001, where applicable).. Skills and Experience Essential NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent). Experience in a HSE Coordinator (or similar) role. Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across operations. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage actions, logs, and follow-through. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across multiple sites. Desirable Involvement with ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 implementation/maintenance. NEBOSH Diploma. Lead/Internal Auditor certification Experience in distribution centres, warehousing, transport or logistics environments. Environmental qualification and/or experience with IIE (Investors in the Environment).
