What you'll be doing
As a/an Electrical Supervisor, you will have the following accountabilities:
1. Overall responsibility for the successful completion of the section or works/overall project and to lead by example, managing the day-to-day delivery of construction projects
2. Maintain accurate progress records
3. Deliver regular Toolbox Talks
4. Awareness of budget, cost control and cost recovery, ensuring that expenditure is in line with the contract budget, and that resources are utilised efficiently,
5. Support the delivery of CSUKs Sustainability activities
6. Carry out periodic Safety & Environment Tours as required by the Project H & S Plan
7. Support Accident / Incident Investigations.
8. Implement improvement options and lead action / instigate as appropriate
9. Lead periodic risk reviews and take output forward to the Project Risk Register
10. Monitor effectiveness of the & S Management System
11. Manage sub-contractors, including monitoring of contractor attendance and progress, providing direct instruction and support as necessary, such that contractual arrangements are achieved
12. Produce and regularly review the project programme to ensure completion on time under the supervision of a Project Manager
13. Ensure that detailed plans are available commensurate with the overall project plan, such that material/resources/supply chain can be delivered to meet scheduled deadlines
Who we're looking for
The following qualities/experience are essential:
14. A successful track record in managing operational delivery within a construction, or construction related environment.
15. Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes with clarity
16. Ability to work under pressure to deadlines, and a flexible attitude towards work in order to deal with a variable and demanding workload
17. CSCS Card and SMSTS qualified; must be willing to become First Aid qualified
18. Understands method statements and can coach others in document production
19. Understands and can guide others in the principles of Accident / Incident Investigation
20. working knowledge of current H & S legislation
21. Understands the Organisational Business Management Systems and processes
22. Clear understanding and experience of the requirements for handover and self-certification of the works
ESSW AP
23. Must be familiar with and understand the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
24. Must have attended and passed the relevant Electrical Safety Training and understand the Electrical Safety Procedure.
25. Must be over 21 years of age.
26. Must be a qualified Electrician grade as a minimum or equivalent for their role, with at least 2 years post qualification experience.
27. Must have full knowledge of the technicalities and dangers of electricity and precautions which need to be taken to avoid danger. They must also understand their duties and areas of control as noted within the ESSW RA / WPP for the contract.
