We're looking to welcome a Social Worker to join our CAMHS Team here at Park Lodge
Hospital in Wolverhampton.
Park Lodge is a Tier 4 Hospital that sits within the CAMHS domain of Arcadia Care. We
provide specialist eating disorder services for young people aged 10-18 years whose
needs can no longer be met in the community.
As an essential member of the Multi-disciplinary Team at the Hospital, we aim to promote
and deliver excellent care for our young people with mental health conditions and are
focused on getting the best outcomes for the people we serve.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible under the terms of the NHS and Community Care Act 1990 and the Care
Programme Approach, for assessing the social care needs of children and young people
with complex mental health needs (including autism, eating disorders, attachment
difficulties, learning disabilities and development conditions) and who may be detained
under the Mental Health Act 1983.
To design, arrange and develop social care elements of individual care programmes and
to monitor and review these in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team.
To provide Safeguarding practice leadership and ensure that advice and support to staff
are provided, including managers, on safeguarding enquiries, serious safeguarding
reviews, and provide input into place/ borough based multi-agency safeguarding
partnership committees and sub-groups.
