24 bedded male rehabilitation service based in Warrington.

The Service: Maple House is a 24 bedded community facing purpose-built hospital for men aged 18 years and above with complex mental health needs due to mental illness and/or acquired brain injury. The service provides a holistic approach to recovery from mental illness whilst maximising potential and promoting independence.

Job Summary:
The post holder will be expected to work within the multidisciplinary team, managing a defined caseload of service users, providing core occupational therapy assessments and interventions that enables individuals to work towards recovery, a valued lifestyle and aim for optimum level of functional ability.
You will be working within a male 24 bedded rehabilitation hospital that supports service users with mental illness and/or acquired brain injury.
About you:
You will have experience in managing a designated caseload using theoretical and practical experience, completing assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans.
With a strong emphasis on teamwork, you'll receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a variety of training courses to support you reach your career goals.
Duties:
* Evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities to determine their needs and develop individualised Rehabilitation Pathways.
* Provide occupational therapy interventions to improve patients' functional abilities, including activities of daily living, planning, budgeting and mobility.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as Physicians and Psychologists to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
* Educate patients on adaptive techniques and to enhance independence and well being.
* Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately and timely.
Requirements:
* HCPC (required)
* Valid certification as an Occupational Therapist.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
* Occupational Therapy experience 1 year (preferred)
* Experience in Mental Health setting (preferred)
