About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences all aspects of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, and joining us offers a wonderful opportunity to give back.
Your responsibilities include planning and delivering care that promotes residents' security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families, ensuring personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will uphold high standards of care and positively influence your colleagues. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting at mealtimes, or communicating with families, your approach will be rooted in kindness.
You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administering medication.
Maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships are key aspects of your role.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care or equivalent, with experience in person-centered care planning and dementia care knowledge. The essential qualities include positive energy, good communication skills, effective time management, and a considerate, kind attitude towards residents and colleagues.
