Estate Management - Residential Services Part time: 22.2 hours per week (0.6 fte) working pattern to be agreed We are currently seeking to recruit a part time Accommodation Assistant to join our Residential Services team; based at our Bognor Regis Campus. About this role The Accommodation Assistant provides a professional, helpful and welcoming service for residents in the University's accommodation. This people focused role ensures the University provides the best possible service to meet the accommodation needs and expectations of students and conference guests. During the summer period, the Accommodation Assistant will assist the Conference Office to provide a successful and reliable hospitality service to conference delegates and Bed & Breakfast guests. The Accommodation Assistant's duties include using electronic facilities management software to communicate work required, maintaining on-campus equipment inventories, completing room inspections and reports, day-to-day stock management for the accommodation and assist the Accommodation Officer with ensuring appropriate level of stock is maintained. About you It is vital you have excellent organisational and communication skills to ensure rooms and communal areas are clean and well maintained. Using your attention to detail skills you will report any deficiencies to the appropriate maintenance or cleaning teams. You will have experience of working in housekeeping in a busy, corporate environment including the supervision of facilities in relation to cleaning and maintenance. You will have accomplished communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to be empathic of student needs by providing positive and responsive advice to students regarding accommodation issues.
