Scope of the role:
As a member of the Quality Assurance Team the role will involve:
* Collecting, analysing, and reporting on microbiological samples.
* Demonstrating commitment to the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental performance through personal actions.
* Preparing media and conducting microbiological analyses in accordance with established methods, recording and documenting results on laboratory sheets and computer spreadsheets.
* Managing product releases using company inventory systems, performing quality control checks, and carrying out equipment calibration.
* Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe microbiology laboratory.
* Interpreting results accurately and escalating issues where appropriate.
Qualities and experience required include:
* Ideally, 12 months' laboratory experience (desirable but not essential).
* Ability to reflect on performance and actively drive personal development.
* Openness to new ideas and approaches, with the ability to lead by example.
* Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
* Accountable and responsible for personal actions.
* Self-disciplined with effective communication skills.
* Flexible and adaptable, with a positive approach to change.
* Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
* Completion of an English and Maths test will form part of the interview process
Working hours:
4 on 4 off 7am – 7pm
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £29,000.00 per year
