We are recruiting for a Paralegal to join our Financial Services Disputes and Investigations (FSDI) team in Glasgow. Our FSDI team is one of the largest providers of legal services to the financial sector in the UK, with over 300 dedicated financial services lawyers across our UK offices. Our relationships include many of the UK's largest banks, building societies, international banks, lenders, merchant services, and payment providers.
Your Role
As a Paralegal, your responsibilities will include:
1. Handling junior fee-earning casework, managing your own cases under supervision.
2. Investigating and analyzing claims, preparing draft advice.
3. Assisting solicitors in preparing trial bundles.
4. Instructing experts and reviewing expert reports.
5. Reviewing discovery documents from other parties.
6. Recording, reporting, and analyzing Management Information.
7. Assisting with billing processes.
Your Skills and Experience
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and flexibility.
* Proficiency in Word and Outlook; experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and document management systems like Interwoven is beneficial.
* Desirable skills include advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and managing large spreadsheets, along with the ability to analyze and export data effectively.
