Why this job matters

As an Account Management Professional you are responsible for providing in-life customer support, cross-sell and upsell opportunities for Mid-Market customers. You'll be managing customer relationships from a desk-based environment, working across a range of customers with revenue targets of several million pounds.



Customer satisfaction is also a significant factor for your nominated clients, whether working with them singly from the desk, or as part of an overall account team. You will build trusted relationships with your customers, acting as their main point of contact and, supported by internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring customers receive exceptional service and delivery.


What you’ll be doing

• Responsible for delivering against revenue targets
• Outbound sales prospecting and opportunities, regular and consistent calling of customers and promotion of BT products and services.
• Accurately forecast business KPI’s to management teams
• Proactively manage churn risk for core BT products
• Identify opportunities to sell to new customers and work closely with specialist teams to deliver opportunities for core BT product lines
• Closing own contracts, as well as engaging with others/specialists to deliver customer requirements as necessary e.g. Field Account Management team, Contract Management team for managed accounts.
• Acts as the desk-based point of contact for the customer/partner developing long term customer relationships.


Experience Required

• Experience in account management and can demonstrate track record of meeting or exceeding targets in a target-driven environment
• Managing a portfolio of customers: conducting account reviews, identifying white space, and generating qualified opportunities
• Consultative selling skills as well as ability to create appointments and hand over effectively to field teams
• Able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and confident engaging customers face to face, by phone and virtually
• Organised, able to prioritise competing tasks and handle both revenue generating and non revenue administrative work
