Base pay range: Pay up to £39,621, plus 28.9% employer pension contributions, hybrid working with 60% home working, flexible hours, and great work life balance.

We are looking for a Supplier Manager to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital. We're driving a once-in-a-generation transformation of government services. We’re using fresh ideas and leading-edge technologies to build and maintain innovative, scalable and user-centric digital solutions that will be used by nearly every person in the UK, at key moments in their lives.
Responsibilities
* Manage supplier relationships end-to-end, driving value, tracking spend, and supporting service transformation.
* Interpret financial data, resolve inquiries, and support procurement planning and strategy.
* Capture supplier requirements (technical and non-technical) and ensure alignment with internal governance and affordability.
* Own cost models for the portfolio and monitor spend against contracts.
* Support renewals and ensure supplier arrangements deliver high-quality, user-focused services.
* Build strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers, acting as a key point of contact and escalation.
* Drive performance improvements and ensure contracts deliver value for money.
What skills, knowledge and experience you will need
* Supplier Engagement & Commercial Collaboration – Gathered requirements for supplier engagements and worked with Commercial teams to place contracts using appropriate frameworks, focusing on value for money.
* Stakeholder Relationships – Built trusted relationships with colleagues, senior managers and stakeholders, maintaining open and collaborative communication.
* Financial Management – Comfortable with financial data, forecasting spend, and tracking against budget.
* Delivery Under Pressure – Delivered work to tight deadlines in fast-paced environments, managing shifting priorities.
* Communication & Negotiation – Strong communication and negotiation skills to achieve outcomes for the business and the department.
Location and working model
You'll join us in one of our digital hubs in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle-upon-Tyne or Sheffield—whichever is most convenient. We operate a hybrid model: in the office about 40% of the time and 60% home working.
