Job Title: Tekla Draughtsperson/Detailer
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Tekla Draughtsperson/Detailer to join our dynamic team of six specialists delivering full turnkey steel construction solutions. This role involves working on a variety of off-site steel construction projects, including hot rolled, cold rolled, infill, and load-bearing steel systems.
As a core part of our design and detailing team, you’ll use Tekla Structures to produce high-quality drawings and 3D models for fabrication and installation across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Create accurate 3D models and 2D drawings using Tekla Structures.
* Develop detailed fabrication and assembly drawings for hot rolled, cold rolled, infill, and load-bearing steelwork.
* Liaise with engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy and project alignment.
* Contribute to off-site construction processes ensuring prefabrication and installation efficiency.
* Ensure all drawings meet industry standards, building regulations, and client specifications.
* Participate in internal design reviews and assist with clash detection and coordination.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Tekla Draughtsperson or Structural Steel Detailer.
* Strong working knowledge of Tekla Structures software.
* Experience with hot rolled steel and cold rolled infill systems.
* Understanding of load-bearing and modular/off-site construction techniques.
* Attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a small, fast-paced team.
* Familiarity with other detailing software or BIM coordination tools.
* Experience in a design-and-build or turnkey steel construction environment.
