Join our dedicated Work Based Learning (WBL) team as a Training Advisor / Assessor and help shape the future of apprenticeships across Wales.

At Coleg Sir Gâr and Coleg Ceredigion, we are committed to delivering excellence. In partnership with the B-WBL consortium, we work closely with local employers to provide high-quality apprenticeship programmes that meet both learner and industry needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Training Advisor / Assessor, you will:
* Guide apprentices through their learning journey, ensuring high levels of achievement, progress and engagement.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with learners, employers, teaching staff and awarding bodies.
* Deliver and assess vocational qualifications, conduct regular reviews, and ensure all programme KPIs are met.
* Manage apprenticeship progress using our digital systems and ensure full compliance with Welsh Government and awarding body standards.
This role is vital to ensuring a positive and impactful experience for every apprentice.



Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Essential Criteria:
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant vocational area.
* GCSE English and Mathematics at minimum Grade C or O Level Equivalent
* Competency in the use of a range of IT systems
* Excellent communication, organisational, and administrative skills.
Desirable Criteria:
* Assessor Awards (if not held, to be achieved within 12 months of post start date)
* IOSH Managing Safely
* First Aid at Work
* Evidence of CPD that demonstrates engagement in activities
Welsh Language Requirements:
* Welsh Oracy (Listening/Speaking) - Level 2 - Essential
* Welsh Literacy (Writing/Reading) - Level 2 - Essential

The College is based in South West Wales and has seven main campuses at Llanelli (Graig), Carmarthen (Pibwrlwyd and Jobs Well), Ammanford, Llandeilo (Gelli Aur), Aberystwyth and Cardigan. The College is also home to Carmarthen School of Art which has its origins dating back to 1854.
