What the Role Looks Like The Assistant Manager will be a key player in the firm’s corporate tax offering across the central belt, supporting a varied client base that includes owner-managed businesses, private equity-backed companies, and large corporate groups. Day to day, they’ll: Take ownership of a client portfolio, becoming the go-to contact for corporate tax compliance and advisory work. Get involved in a range of interesting projects, from tax structuring and transactions to audit of tax and group reporting. Work closely with partners, directors, and other service lines to deliver a seamless client experience. Support, mentor, and review the work of junior team members, helping them grow and succeed. Contribute to business development and help strengthen the firm’s presence in the local market. What They’re Looking For This role would suit someone who is: Professionally qualified (CA, ATT, CTA or equivalent) with experience in corporate tax. Comfortable managing their own client workload and reviewing work prepared by others. Curious, collaborative, and confident working directly with clients and internal teams. Up to date with UK corporate tax rules and aware of international tax concepts. Eager to grow — whether that’s developing new skills, mentoring others, or helping to shape the future of the team.
