Who You’ll Be Supporting
Learners are supported via an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and typically present with a range of additional needs, including but not limited to:
* Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
* Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
* Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
* Other cognitive or behavioural challenges
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver the Arts Award programme (from Pre-Entry to Level 2), tailored to various disciplines
* Develop high-quality, inclusive teaching materials and creative schemes of learning
* Adapt sessions to meet the needs of underachieving, able, and high-achieving learners
* Provide ongoing assessment, feedback, and encouragement to support individual progression
* Work collaboratively with the SEND Lead to develop and review individualised learning packages
* Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive and inspiring learning environment
* Support learners in documenting and presenting their artistic journey
* Promote best practices in inclusive education and contribute to the wider aims of the organisation
* Ensure that delivery aligns with relevant quality and inspection frameworks
Qualifications
* Proven experience in tutoring and teaching, particularly in creative arts.
* Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students.
* Experience working with children, including those with special educational needs.
* Ability to develop and implement individualized care plans to support student learning and development.
* Passion for fostering a creative and inclusive learning environment.
