We're expanding and looking for a Trainee / Assistant Manager to join our multi award winning team.

This role will involve working across our 4 stores closely with our store managers, sharing responsibilities and assisting in the daily operations of the store. Our stores are in Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy, Falkirk and Boness so transport is critical.

Key Responsibilities

* Support our Store Managers: Help ensure the store operates smoothly, follows company procedures, to help achieve or exceed sales and budget targets.
* Team Supervision: Oversee, motivate, and manage our store team members to maintain high standards.
* Merchandising and Stock Control: Ensure products are displayed effectively, monitor stock levels, and assist with computer inventory control.
* Store Standards: Maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant store environment for both team members and customers.
* Issue Resolution: Address any issues that arise promptly and report them to the store manager.
* Security and Record Keeping: Adhere to security protocols, maintain accurate records, and ensure cash control.
* Deliveries and Stock Management: Accept and organise deliveries, work stock, and assist in managing store inventory.
* Opening and Closing: This position includes key holder responsibilities for opening and closing the store.

About the Role

Our management team is essential to the smooth operation of our stores, working alongside team members to uphold high standards and create a welcoming environment for customers. This is a full-time position with a 39-hour work week. Shifts are generally scheduled from 6 am - 2 pm, 10 am - 6 pm or 2 pm - 10 pm, with a rotating four-week rota that will include some weekends.

Ideal Candidate

We would prefer applicants with retail experience, whether this is your next step in retail or you're looking for a change. Starting rate for the position will be £13.01 with a review after 6 months.

Applicants must be 18 years or older due to alcohol licensing regulations and must have transport to enable you to work between our stores.
