Acorns Childrens Hospice Trust is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, onboard, and support volunteers, while working with stakeholders to identify new opportunities and areas of need. This role is available on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week) and is based at our Walsall Hospice.
Main duties of the job
As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and supporting volunteers. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify new opportunities and areas where volunteers are needed most.

Job responsibilities
Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies, coordinate volunteer onboarding and training, and maintain strong relationships with volunteers to ensure engagement and retention. Collaborate with care, facilities, and admin teams to meet volunteer needs and support the delivery of our care strategy.
About You
We are seeking someone passionate about volunteering who:
* Is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
* Has experience in the voluntary or charity sector
* Can build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
* Can travel independently across the Acorns area

You must be eligible to work in the UK. The role requires an enhanced DBS check for children and two satisfactory references. Candidates must also provide evidence of immunization against specific diseases or willingness to receive vaccinations.
