Roles: QC Section Leader Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 Location: Deeside, CH5 Benefits Package: Private Health Insurance, Life Assurance, Enhanced Annual Leave, Enhanced Pension Contributions The Opportunity: Reacta Healthcare are currently recruiting for a QC Section Leader to join the Quality Control team. The role of the QC Section Leader is to lead a team of analysts within the wider Reacta Healthcare Quality Control team with responsibility for the quality control of incoming materials, commercial finished products and stability samples. Key Accountabilities To lead QC analysts, ensuring business standards and targets are met. To ensure ongoing compliance to the Pharmaceutical Quality Management System To review analytical data to confirm compliance, or otherwise, of incoming materials, commercial finished products and stability samples to specification. To lead OOS, OOT or OOE investigations. To manage allocation of team resource. To ensure that all staff in the team are trained in relevant departmental systems, procedures and techniques, and achieve a standard that satisfies company and departmental requirements. To maintain an awareness of technological advances relevant to the QC operation. To support audits by both internal and external parties. To keep up to date with current literature, test method developments and regulatory requirements. Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience Essential Skills To be successful in this role, applicants need to have the following essential skills and experience: Experience of working within a pharmaceutical quality control laboratory Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships internally and externally to the business IT competent (e.g., Microsoft office) Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under their own initiative. Substantial relevant experience within a pharmaceutical quality environment or equivalent. A thorough understanding of current GMP regulations. BSc in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent experience. Desirable Skills A recognised qualification in leadership and management.
