Mills & Reeve are recruiting a Senior Internal Communications Executive to join our thriving marketing group. The role This is a full time role with responsibility for driving internal communications across the firm. It requires an experienced and confident internal communications professional, who can work closely with senior management and individuals at all levels of the firm. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team where you'll have the autonomy to plan, co-ordinate, produce and deliver engaging, results driven internal content and campaigns. The senior internal communications executive acts as a central point for internal comms within the business, and the role requires someone who can multi-task and surface and promote stories from across the firm. Mills & Reeve operates a hybrid model of working, so while there can be an element of working from home you'll also be required to be based in one of our offices for at least half of your working week (a minimum 50% over 2 weeks). Travel to other offices may also be required at some stage. This role can be based out of our Birmingham, Cambridge, Leeds, Manchester or Norwich office. The person You'll be expected to demonstrate strengths in terms of: Prior experience in a similar role is needed, preferably (but not essentially) in a professional services organisation Previous working knowledge of intranet management Previous experience of producing video and design collateral Experience of working closely with senior stakeholders across an organisation Experience in controlling brand guidelines across a business The role requires: Excellent level of written English and confident proofing others work Proven experience of communicating at all levels Confidence to work closely with senior management, providing advice and support A great writer with an eye for detail An ability to use AI effectively when appropriate Able to bring creativity to campaigns Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously Highly confident with a strong work ethic The activities Internal content creation Acting as an advisor to the senior leadership team Assist with creating the content for the managing partner's quarterly in-person staff briefing updates at all seven Mills & Reeve offices Co-ordinate and write content for weekly all staff emails updating progress on the firm's strategy Manage and approve content for the staff intranet news feed and support intranet project team on updates as well as planning and producing video content using tools internally Work closely with our five staff networks - Ability, Parents & carers, REACH, Spectrum and Balance - to co-ordinate their comms, create videos, and provide tech support for their virtual events Brand Monitor materials for adherence to the firm's brand guidelines and house style Ensure the firm's brand is communicated effectively and consistently Assist with the development of internal templates in line with brand guidelines Design Develop marketing collateral in-house using a wide range of software including Canva and MS products such as PowerPoint. Wider internal communications support Promoting HR campaigns, including staff benefits, surveys and co-ordinating activity Working with heads of office to promote activities such as BD events, cross working and office socials Improve engagement Find ways to continuously improve internal communications engagement Track engagement with intranet posts and broader firmwide communications Report to the wider comms team at regular team meetings Additional responsibilities Ad hoc support for the wider communications team including uploading and proofing website content, occasional social media support, and assisting with the proofing of legal directories submissions We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role.
