Job Title: Financial Analyst

The job
This role supports the Senior Finance Business Partner and wider team in partnering across multiple functions and projects. The successful candidate will deliver accurate, timely analysis and insights into business performance, while proactively cleansing, challenging, and improving data and processes. Ideal for someone eager to develop their career in a fast-paced, software-driven environment.
Key responsibilities
1. Support month end reporting requirements, including budgeting and forecasting.
2. Provide financial analysis, identify and investigate trends in current performance
3. Data cleanse and streamline reporting
4. Provide any ad-hoc analysis as required
5. Produce and present Function Performance decks and communication to senior stakeholders
6. This is a full-time, hybrid role, split approximately 50% remote and 50% at the Cambridge office. There may be peaks at certain times of the month or year during which some flexibility to working hours may be expected. In Addition, AVEVA is a global business, and some flexibility may be required to facilitate effective working across time zones.
Essential requirements
7. Organised, methodical, numerate and a high attention to detail.
8. A strong level of analytical skills, with the ability to recognise and solve problems through financial analysis.
9. An understanding of general accounting, forecasting, and budgeting concepts and principles.
10. Proficiency in using Microsoft office Tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
11. A self-directed, fast learning self-starter, results oriented, good at setting priorities.
12. Ability to work in a virtual and in-person participative and team-centered environment with a collaborative work style.
Desired skills
13. Educated to degree level and/or relevant financial qualification (part or fully Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
14. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
15. Strong IT skills – Microsoft Excel essential.
16. Enthusiasm and the ability to be proactive.
17. Able to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines.
