Junior Video Editor – Contract (3 Months)
We are actively seeking a talented and motivated Junior Video Editor to join our video team for a 3-month term. This newly created role presents a valuable opportunity for someone eager to gain experience and expand their knowledge in video editing.
As part of the team, you will collaborate on editing videos featuring well-known authors and speakers. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for spirituality and personal growth, along with a strong understanding of social media platforms.
Your responsibilities will include editing short videos, organizing and selecting footage, transforming raw footage into usable segments, encoding and transferring files to other team members, as well as supporting the team with any video edit-related requests.

We are a small NGO creating online educational courses and events with well-known authors and public speakers in the UK and around the world. Responsibilities:
· Select and edit segments from hours-long event sessions into short engaging video content.
· Provide the team with organized segments and assets.
· Organize and manage selects for future projects.
· Repurpose footage/assets for various channels (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook).
· Ensure consistency in style and quality across all content through editing and colour correction and grading.
· Make creative decisions on shot selection, pacing, and overall flow to enhance storytelling.
· Incorporate music, sound effects, and graphics to enhance the overall production.
· Contribute creative ideas to enhance video content and storytelling.
· Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in video editing and content creation.
· Based in Glasgow or surrounding areas, but you'll be working mostly remotely.
Requirements:
· Advanced knowledge of Premiere Pro, Encoder.
· A Proven experience shooting and editing engaging video content.
· Thorough understanding of various video formats and codes (such as H264, ProRes) frame rates, resolutions, and compressions.
· Understanding of various and commonly used aspect ratios (16x9, 9x16).
· Great command on repurposing content for social media platforms, including adding subtitles and graphical elements.
· An authentic enthusiasm for personal development and spirituality.
· Understanding of storytelling principles and the ability to create compelling narratives through editing.
· Based in or around Glasgow.
· A portfolio or reel demonstrating past work and skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Background in content writing or copywriting skills is a plus.
· A creative thinker dedicated to our cause, with a strong work ethic and a collaborative spirit.
Working hours:
The position requires is a 5 day a week job working Monday to Friday.
