This role has a starting salary of £47,884 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week (pro-rata for part-time staff).
Our Spelthorne Locality Team is looking for an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join their friendly team, based in Ashford. The team works in a hybrid manner, with a mix of in-office and remote work, aiming for staff to be in the office 2-3 days per week.

About the Team
We are a caring, committed team serving residents in need of care and support. We work with residents over 65, as well as those under 65 with disabilities, illnesses, or sensory impairments. We collaborate closely with carers, families, and partner organizations to enable residents to live their best lives. We are dedicated to supporting carers and families, recognizing their vital roles.
Our team comprises Social Care and Occupational Therapy Assistants, Social Workers, and Occupational Therapists, all committed to ongoing learning and development.
About the Role
This diverse role involves assessing for major adaptations, specialized equipment, and completing moving and handling risk assessments. Our goal is to support residents in living meaningful lives within their communities.
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will conduct holistic assessments of social care needs and plan support for a dedicated caseload. You will work closely with families, carers, and care workers to support individuals from diverse backgrounds with various needs.
We provide regular monthly supervision and informal team support. Our occupational therapists' skills are highly valued, enabling us to achieve positive outcomes tailored to individual needs.
Our Reigate & Banstead Locality Team has won a prestigious LGC Workforce Award for 'Smart Working' in Occupational Therapy, recognizing our innovative 'Five Steps' programme and SWOT approach, which is being rolled out across Surrey to benefit residents.

Shortlisting Criteria
Applicants should demonstrate:
* Professional qualification in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration
* Experience working in social care, health, or community settings
* Ability to complete person-centered OT assessments
* Familiarity with moving and handling equipment
* Knowledge of medical conditions and their impacts
* Understanding of legislation such as the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act
* Substantial post-qualification experience, including complex cases and supervision experience
Travel across Surrey is required, so a valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle are necessary. Reasonable adjustments will be made for applicants with disabilities or health conditions.
