The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to step into a Head Nurse position at a well-established and highly regarded practice.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will work closely with the clinical team to maintain exceptional standards of patient care, develop nurse-led services and support the ongoing growth of the practice.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and developing the nursing team
* Managing nurse clinics and Schedule 3 procedures
* Supporting consultations, surgeries and inpatient care
* Monitoring anaesthesia and overseeing patient recovery
* Managing admissions, discharges and medication dispensing
* Driving clinical standards and regulatory compliance
* Coaching and mentoring colleagues to achieve their full potential
This role is ideal for a Senior RVN ready to progress or an existing Head Nurse seeking a supportive and rewarding new challenge.
Hours & Work Pattern
* Full-time, 40 hours per week
* Permanent position
* Some weekend shifts
* No on-call responsibilities

Located on a picturesque Isleworth, this established small animal practice has built a strong reputation within the local community and enjoys a loyal and growing client base.
The practice is fully equipped with:
* Digital X-ray
* Ultrasound
* Full in-house laboratory

* Haematology and biochemistry analysers
For advanced diagnostics and out-of-hours support, the nearby 24 Hour Hospital provides access to CT, MRI and emergency care.
You will join a close-knit and dedicated team of RVNs, veterinary surgeons and receptionists who work collaboratively to deliver exceptional patient and client care.

About You
* RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
* Previous senior or leadership experience
* Confident in all areas of nursing, including anaesthesia, theatre and inpatient care
* Strong communication and mentoring skills
* Passionate about clinical excellence and team development
* Motivated to drive nurse-led services and Schedule 3 utilisation
