We are seeking a DevOps Technical Lead to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a next-generation digital platform within a fast-growing eCommerce organisation. This role combines hands-on engineering excellence with technical leadership and strategic oversight, enabling high-performing teams to build and operate scalable, cloud-native systems.
You will lead DevOps practices across a modern architecture (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-Native, Headless), ensuring reliability, scalability, and continuous delivery across high-traffic digital products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define and lead DevOps strategy, standards, and tooling.
* Architect and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform (IaC).
* Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Docker).
* Drive operational excellence (monitoring, incident management, reliability).
* Enable teams by embedding DevOps best practices into delivery.
* Align technical decisions with business goals and platform scalability.
Key Skills
* Proven experience in a DevOps Technical Lead or senior role.
* Deep knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
* Advanced experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps).
* Experience with Microservices, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL (e.g., Cosmos DB).
* Understanding of event-driven architectures (Azure Service Bus/Event Grid) and caching (Redis).
* Strong background in monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support (Azure Monitor, Application Insights).
* Excellent communication skills and experience working in Agile environments.
