Team Overview:
The Production team oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of all manufacturing and assembly activities within our fabrication facilities. They ensure that bespoke mechanical and electrical components are produced efficiently, to the highest quality standards, and delivered on schedule. By maintaining streamlined workflows and close collaboration with design and project teams, the Production department plays a key role in supporting timely and successful project delivery.
Role Overview:
Alternative Heat are seeking a highly organised and proactive Subcontractor Coordinator to manager and oversee the tendering and onboarding process for subcontractors within our Data Centre and Decarbonisation projects. This role will be responsible for end-to-end coordination of outsourcing packages of work, including sourcing, evaluating and onboarding subcontractors aligned with our project requirements and business objectives.

What You'll be Doing:
Tender Management
* Take ownership of subcontractor tender packages from initiation to award.
* Collaborate with engineering, project management and commercial teams to define scope, timelines and tender requirements.
* Issue Requests for Quotations (RFQ's) and manage the end-to-end tendering process for outsourcing packages of work.
* Evaluate technical and commercial responses, assist commercial on final terms and prepare recommendations for contract award.
Subcontractor Sourcing and Onboarding
* Research and identify new subcontractors in line with contractual demands and project management requirements.
* Conduct due diligence checks including capability assessments, HSEQ standards, financial stability and compliance with company policies.
* Assist with the onboarding process, including contract set-up, documentation collection, and system registration.
Supplier Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors to ensure performance, compliance and continuous improvement.
* Act as the point of contact for subcontractor queries during the tender and execution phases.
Documentation and Compliance
* Maintain accurate records for tender evaluations, subcontractor date and performance metrics.
* Ensure all subcontractors meet legal, contractual and safety requirements in alignment with business and project standards.
Continuous Improvement
* Contribute to the development and refinement of subcontractor management processes and systems.
* Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement subcontractor engagement.
What You Need to Have:
* Experience using MS Office and document editing tools such as Adobe.
* Previous experience with external suppliers and subcontractors, building relationships and rapport.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders.
* Excellent attention to detail, self-motivated and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

* Previous experience working within the construction industry.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and standards.
