This position is a temporary full‑time post working in the Department of Psychology. The role involves working as an RPSO for the CAL:ON project, focusing on Welsh‑medium trials, including school liaison, programme development and implementation, research duties such as scoring, analysis and writing. The post holder reports to the lead RO on this strand and the project manager. The role offers flexibility through the Dynamic Working framework, with the option to spend time working remotely within the UK. The post may also be considered on a part‑time or job‑share basis. Responsibilities
* Support the RILL Welsh effectiveness trial implementation and all associated tasks.
* Assist across all streams of the CAL:ON project as required by project managers and leads.
* Communicate regularly (weekly or more often) with the RO lead, project manager and other leads.
* Complete work to agreed deadlines.
* Draft progress updates for project leads or funders.
* Coordinate across teams, working with the project manager and research officer.
* Draft academic reports and outputs such as ethics proposals, academic papers and government reports.
* Gather, score and analyse data if required.
* Deliver research outcomes.
* Occasionally administer the research project.

* Masters degree in Psychology or Education

* Previous experience of research assistant work in a similar area
* Demonstrated knowledge and interest in specific areas related to the post

* Good verbal and written skills
* Good computer skills, including MS Office, Powerpoint, Excel and knowledge of specific research software
* Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
* Strong analytical skills, ability to analyse numerical data and present results appropriately
* Ability to work as part of a team

* Any other skills / abilities relevant to the duties and responsibilities
