Make a Real Impact as a GCSE English Tutor.
Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students with SEN or SEMH needs? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors. You'll provide personalised, 1:1 support in English for GCSE students. These in-person sessions in Gillingham offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.
* This job is in person in the Gillingham area.
* Days: Monday & Tuesday
* Times: During school hours
* Subject and Level: GCSE English
* Contract length: 8 weeks (possibility to extend)
* Rate of pay: £32.50 / hour
What You'll Do
* Provide tuition that is appropriate for the individual needs and study level.
* Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student.
* Provide targeted support for students.
* Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment.
* Monitor progress, produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes.
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in.
* Regularly reporting updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager.
Requirements
We're looking for someone who has
* A Bachelor's degree.
* 1+ years of tutoring / teaching experience.
* Experience working with students with SEN and/or SEMH needs.
* An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The right to be self employed in the UK.
