Your new role
You will join the business as a Senior Credit Controller, operating in a standalone capacity with full ownership of the credit control function. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in maintaining cash flow, managing aged debt, and ensuring robust credit processes.
This is a hands‑on position requiring confidence, accountability, and the ability to operate independently while engaging with key stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Full ownership of the end‑to‑end credit control process
* Proactive management of aged debt and cash collection targets
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external clients
* Liaising with senior members of staff to resolve complex account queries
* Monitoring customer credit limits and risk exposure
* Producing regular reports on debtor performance for senior leadership
* Identifying and implementing process improvements where appropriate
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be a highly experienced credit professional with a proactive and resilient approach.
* Approximately 15+ years’ experience in credit control
* Proven ability to operate independently in a standalone role
* Strong relationship management skills, both internally and externally
* Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
* Highly organised, disciplined, and self‑motivated
* A “hands‑on” mindset with the ability to take ownership and drive tasks forward
* Experience within a fast‑paced or demanding environment is highly advantageous
