A long‑established civil engineering contractor is looking for a Freelance Site Engineer to provide cover throughout April as they navigate holiday gaps and a potential uplift in workload. Their current focus is housing‑infrastructure works across several small sites, and they need someone dependable who can keep things moving.
This role won’t be heavy on setting out but you’ll be the on‑site point of contact, keeping the squads organised, answering queries, and making sure progress continues even when the team is stretched.
What you’ll be doing
* Light setting out as required
* Acting as the on‑site engineering contact
* Supporting site teams and keeping works progressing
* Covering multiple small housing‑infrastructure sites
* Providing flexibility during holiday periods and tender outcomes
What they’re looking for
* A steady, reliable engineer who’s comfortable working independently
* Someone adaptable — workload may vary day‑to‑day
* Experience in housing infrastructure or general civils
