If so, then we have a role for you!
The Estates Department is looking to recruit a highly motivated Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) to work as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team primarily within the Scarborough/Bridlington area.
The department provides management, development, maintenance, and operational support for the Trust's buildings and engineering infrastructure. The role is critical to the Estates Department's busy maintenance support service, covering a wide range of engineering services for skill development. The successful candidate will be based at Scarborough Hospital but must be willing to work at any of the Trust's sites. Flexibility regarding hours of duty and participation in training, including Health and Safety, is required.
The candidate should have a good general knowledge of building services and engineering maintenance, backed by BTech, City and Guilds Craft Certificate, or NVQ 3 in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical engineering.
The candidate must work cooperatively as part of a team, with demonstrable experience in maintenance environments. Reliability, resilience, enthusiasm, motivation, and the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision are essential.
Participation in an on-call/out-of-hours rota, for which additional pay is provided, is required. The candidate should be able to transport themselves and equipment throughout the community during a normal working day.
