Job Description
Agincare is seeking a talented and fully qualified Senior Management Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and wants to have a meaningful impact across a growing organisation. Working between our Poole and Portland offices, you will deliver high‑quality financial analysis, support strategic decision‑making and lead the management accounting function to drive accuracy, insight and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Manage the month‑end process, including journals, accruals, pre‑payments and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
* Produce detailed variance analyses and clear explanations for performance movements.
* Prepare monthly financial performance reports, KPIs and ad‑hoc analysis for senior stakeholders.
* Support and mentor junior accounting staff, developing capability and best practice.
* Collaborate with department heads on budgeting and forecasting aligned to strategic goals.
* Monitor business costs and identify opportunities to improve financial performance.
* Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal processes.
* Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Support continuous improvement across systems, processes, and reporting.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
* 23 years of experience in management accounting, with a senior or supervisory background.
* Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
* Proficiency with financial systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or similar, and advanced Excel skills.
* Confident communicator able to present financial information to non‑financial colleagues.
* Highly organised, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* A collaborative, professional approach and commitment to high standards.
