As a Maintenance Engineer at PrepWorld you will be working as part of a team or individually on Nights, you will be responsible for scheduled maintenance, fault finding and repair of food manufacturing equipment and associated support services and systems. Main Duties Carry out routine scheduled servicing and maintenance on food manufacturing, ancillary and associated equipment Suitably trained and competent to carry out mechanical maintenance tasks and electrical isolations Attend machine and equipment breakdowns in a timely manner and apply sound engineering principals to diagnosis and repair Apply root cause analysis principals to identify and subsequently rectify issues to deliver continuous improvement Maintain good maintenance record keeping as required Support the Production Teams at all levels to drive continuous improvement and reduce downtime Support both the Engineering Shift Managers and Maintenance Planner in selecting correct spare parts and maintaining stock levels Attend training courses (internal and external) as required by Prepworld to build personal and Engineering Department capabilities Assist in training/mentoring other members of the Engineering Team or other Departments if required to do so Maintain and promote good health and safety practices as a core principle of engineering activity on site Participate in Capital and improvement Projects as required Maintain good housekeeping practices within the Engineering Department and site wide as required The role involves manual handling and the ability to withstand working in cold storage conditions on a daily basis Key Relationships Maintain and continually improve good working relationships at all levels with all Prepworld Departments Key Accountabilities Maintain and promote health and safety at work best practices to achieve zero lost hours within the Engineering Department due to injury 100% completion of all scheduled maintenance tasks duly issued Respond to all breakdown requests in a timely manner Escalation of any major issues preventing prompt problem resolution in a timely manner Skill Requirements Suitably trained and competent in mechanical disciplines Suitably trained and competent to apply electrical isolations aligned with LOTO process Good computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word Ability to problem solve Good verbal and written communication skills Can do attitude – See It, Own It, Solve It, Do It Qualifications Recognised apprenticeship or minimum of a Level 3 NVQ in a mechanical discipline or at least 5 years experience in a maintenance role with recognised qualifications Specific Knowledge & Experience: Ideally, previous experience of FMCG industry What we provide in return: Stream (track your earnings and instantly access up to 50% of your money as you earn it, without waiting for payday) On site parking with electric charge points Fully paid for, Staff events Staff restaurant serving heavily subsidised hot and cold food Brand new facilities A supportive team Working Pattern: 4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern Shift Details: This is a night shift role, involving 12-hour shifts.
