About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our team. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of goods within our warehouse. Your main duties will include receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching a variety of products. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work well in a team.
Key Responsibilities
* Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming goods.
* Store products in designated areas of the warehouse.
* Ensure proper labelling and packaging of goods for shipment.
* Pick and pack orders according to customer requirements.
* Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines.
* Physically unload (via hand) 20ft and 40ft containers, both FCL and LCL
* Collaborate with colleagues to achieve daily targets and resolve any issues that may arise.
Qualifications & Experience
* You'll have at least 1 years' experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.
* Ability to lift heavy items and perform physically.
* Possesses a valid forklift operator's license or willingness to obtain one.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
* Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems or similar software applications.
